This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED course uses a combination of video, lecture, and guided skill practice to teach participants to respond to cardiac and other health related emergency situations. Topics include basic first aid, response to environmental emergencies, warning signs of heart attack and stroke, CPR including AED training, and foreign object airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants. Certification is valid for two years. Participants should dress in comfortably fitting clothing that allows for movement, as the class includes both desk and floor work. No written test. You are comfortable with your camera and you want more! In this class we will explore the use of intermediate camera controls such as metering (spot, matrix, center weight), exposure and exposure compensation, ISO, aperture and shutter priority. We will take an in-depth look at manual focus and its use, fill flash and flash modes, as well as controlling motion, composition, and many other intermediate and advanced techniques. You should be familiar with your camera (also, bring your camera manual to class) and be ready for some in-depth photographic training. Through demonstrations and ample work time, each student will master various soldering techniques and the metal forming process to shape the bracelet. After fabricating the bracelet, you'll add a small stone to serve as the clasp. All materials are included, and no prior experience is necessary.
