Each week, we’ll explore a new topic, starting with the basics and building your confidence as we go. You'll gain a better understanding of how technology works and how you can use it to your advantage.We'll cover a wide range of subjects, including:
- The origins of technology and how networks and Wi-Fi operate
- Introduction to smartphones, tablets, and laptops
- Overview of email, texting, and chatting
- Navigating Roku, Google, YouTube, Facebook, and online calendars
- Understanding voice assistants like Google, Siri, and Alexa
- Using ZOOM, online banking, and shopping on Amazon
- Best practices for passwords, logins, and safe browsing
- Recognizing and avoiding online threats like viruses, phishing, malware, and ransomware
Each session will include a review of the previous week and a look at something new.
No computer is required for this class—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn.

Digital Photo 2 Intermediate Series Online

You are comfortable with your camera and you want more! In this class we will explore the use of intermediate camera controls such as metering (spot, matrix, center weight), exposure and exposure compensation, ISO, aperture and shutter priority. We will take an in-depth look at manual focus and its use, fill flash and flash modes, as well as controlling motion, composition, and many other intermediate and advanced techniques. You should be familiar with your camera (also, bring your camera manual to class) and be ready for some in-depth photographic training. This Class usually runs for 1.5-2 hours and is a 5-week course, and there are assignments every week as well! Instructor: Steve McGrath
