Maine Driving Dynamics
with Bureau of Highway Safety Instructor

This two-class, five hour course offers all drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving abilities. The course includes attitudes and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. The course is taught by a certified Maine Driving Dynamics instructor. The course format engages students with lectures, videos, and class discussion/participation. Those completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving records. It is important that you arrive at class on time, otherwise you will not receive credit.
CCA225: Social Aspects of Health and Illness

What are the differences between health, illness, and disease? What are the social (rather than the clinical) causes and aspects of health and illness in the US? We will examine the social causes and consequences of health-related problems such as heart disease, cancer, AIDS, substance abuse, eating disorders, and domestic violence. (Eng. or SS -1 HS credit, college bound gain the academic, personal, social skills needed to succeed in college!)

This class will offer an objective view of each artist’s work with analysis of its strengths and weaknesses and further suggestions on how to make the artwork more powerful, more resonant, more authentic and contemporary. This course includes much discussion and interaction.
