Intro to Abstraction

Learn how to look at anything abstractly and organize it as a composition. Working from unconventional still-lifes, learn to see the whole and not just the parts. Emphasis is on the dynamics of composition to help you go beyond the literal. Mixed media and collage will also be included. Critical analysis of strengths and weaknesses in the work will provide the structure to get you going in the right direction. Weekly homework is given but is optional.
