Tis is an intermediate/advanced class for English speakers of other languages who want to further improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, and speaking skills; learn efectives ways to communicate in formal settings such as schools, colleges, and the workplace; strengthen reading and comprehension of diferent forms of texts; and develop formal and informal writing skills. Students will also work on reading, writing, and presentation skills in English specifc to individual career interests and goals.

You will learn the basic stitches and techniques of hand smocking while completing a special garment for yourself or a loved one. Basic sewing skills helpful. Materials list umpn registration. Options include: holiday apron, dainty camisole or nighty, sweet baby bonnet, jumper or pinafore. Former shop owner/instructor at The Smock Exchange, Danvers/Hamilton, MA and FLOSSIE in Essex, MA. Linda has been smocking and teaching classes for over 35 years to adults and children. Linda also volunteered for many years in Coolidge Hall at the Topsfield Fair, as chairperson of the Smocking, Heirloom Sewing and Sewing Departments. She has been blessed with two beautiful granddaughters who help perpetuate her love of sewing and smocking.
