Each week, we’ll explore a new topic, starting with the basics and building your confidence as we go. You'll gain a better understanding of how technology works and how you can use it to your advantage.We'll cover a wide range of subjects, including:
- The origins of technology and how networks and Wi-Fi operate
- Introduction to smartphones, tablets, and laptops
- Overview of email, texting, and chatting
- Navigating Roku, Google, YouTube, Facebook, and online calendars
- Understanding voice assistants like Google, Siri, and Alexa
- Using ZOOM, online banking, and shopping on Amazon
- Best practices for passwords, logins, and safe browsing
- Recognizing and avoiding online threats like viruses, phishing, malware, and ransomware
Each session will include a review of the previous week and a look at something new.
No computer is required for this class—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn.

In addition to online instruction, you will be given the opportunity to book a 1-on-1 script read and voice evaluation via telephone with your instructor for the following day. This class will be presented via Zoom, you will receive a link the 24 hours prior to the class.
