Voice-over Class Online via Zoom

In what could be the most enlightening webinar you’ve ever taken, our instructor and professional voice coach will show you how you can actually begin using your speaking voice for commercials, films, videos, and more. Most people go about it the wrong way. In this introductory class, you will learn about a unique, outside the box way to break into this creative, fulfilling, and potentially lucrative industry. Voice-overs can be managed on your own terms, on your own turf, in your own time, and with minimal overhead! Whether you choose to pursue voice-overs part-time or full-time, this could be the game changer you’ve been looking for. In addition to online instruction, you will be given the opportunity to book a 1-on-1 script read and voice evaluation via telephone with your instructor for the following day. This class will be presented via Zoom, you will receive a link the 24 hours prior to the class.

CPR/First Aid/AED Training

This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED course uses a combination of video, lecture, and guided skill practice to teach participants to respond to cardiac and other health related emergency situations. Topics include basic first aid, response to environmental emergencies, warning signs of heart attack and stroke, CPR including AED training, and foreign object airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants. Certification is valid for two years. Participants should dress in comfortably fitting clothing that allows for movement, as the class includes both desk and floor work. No written test. During this session, you will learn how to navigate multiple worksheets, save your workbook, create formulas, use functions, change the layout of your worksheet, and how to create practical worksheets. 1040 Income Tax – Maintain tax information that is very useful when preparing your annual tax return. The design of this course includes 2-3 hours of work with the software between sessions to gain maximum benefit from the sessions. Some examples of using Microsoft Excel as a Practical Tool: ● Grocery Shopping List – Quickly create a weekly grocery shopping list. What a time saver! ● Contractor Estimate Calculator - Great tool for any contractor who has to provide estimates for customers. ● Household Budget – Create a monthly budget of your household expenditures. This is a live online class using ZOOM. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey included in your automated receipt so the instructor can tailor the course to meet your needs. You will want to have Microsoft Excel on your computer for this workshop and many people find it helpful to have two monitors though it is certainly not necessary to benefit from the sessions. There are two ways to accomplish this: 1) attach an external screen to your computer (contact our program if you need technical assistance with that); 2) use two computers (one for Excel and the other for the ZOOM meeting. Looking for in meaningful work? Our community needs individuals who want to make a difference in a child’s life. Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. And the need in our area is great! As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential. We are excited to connect our community with this wonderful blended training and certificate program. This training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies and equip you to work with children who qualify for services. The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace. Learners must complete all 12 online modules to be eligible to attend the Live Day on Friday Oct 11th from 8:30-4:40pm. Once the modules are completed, you will receive free online bloodborne pathogen training. Child and Adult First Aid & CPR certification is required. In just 40 hours, our free remote training program can get you certified and on your way to a life-changing profession. Must be a Maine resident, and at least 18 years old with a high school diploma (or equivalent) to become certified.
