Go Ukulele Wild (14 and up)- July

with Duncan Perry

Class has begun

The ukulele is captivating people across the globe!  The uke has never been more popular and it's a boatload of fun! Amaze your friends, dazzle your family -- here's your chance to learn to play it. Come join our beginners’ class and share in the Aloha joy of making music on Hawaii's legendary instrument. On this amazing little instrument, you can learn to play folk music, rock, jazz, blues, pop, country, classical music, as well as tunes grandma knows. The course is open to adults and teens 14 years old or older. Parents, grandparents, children, friends, neighbors, -- all are welcome to join this ukulele adventure. The classes are low stress and taught using familiar songs, so you do not need to know how to read music. You will learn essential chords, strumming and fingerpicking techniques, and secrets to developing your own playing style. Your journey with the ukulele begins on July 10th.

To join you must have a playable soprano, concert or tenor size ukulele (no baritones please) and either an electronic tuner (recommended) or cell phone tuner app.  In addition, you'll need a sturdy music stand and clips to keep your music in place because the course will be held outdoors weather permitting. Bring your suntan lotion, your sense of humor, and your ukulele passion!
