Social Justice Dialogue for Newcomers
with Michaela Flanders
Knowing the tenets of social justice dialogue is fundamental to having conversations in the workplace and with friends and family. It can be hard to know what to say when themes on race, gender, sexuality, and religion take front and center. This series utilizes intergroup dialogue and a welcoming atmosphere to get you started. She is also a Marshwood High School graduate. Michaela is the author of "Sitting in A Circle: Gen Z Feminism and The Spirit", due for release in June 2021 from The Pilgrim Press, as well as a student birth doula with DONA International. As a queer, Asian, religiously mixed woman with health issues, she is committed to use her experiences from listening to her peers, and her own social justice training, to meet the pressing need for education-- especially in small towns-- that has led the U.S. to this moment in history.
