Chair Yoga

We will practice yoga from a chair, involving energetic movements that are designed to strengthen the body and bring awareness to our physical presence in the world. She has Ashtanga training [200 hr RYT], yin yoga training and chair yoga training with Peggy Cappy. She brings joy to her practice and teaches with enthusiasm, giving modifications. Her classes are themed so that the students are able to extract a message that fits their circumstances.

Falun Gong: Introduction

Falun Gong is an ancient, traditional Chinese practice of "self cultivation"- a way to improve mental and physical wellness through five easy-to-learn exercises, meditation, and the elevation of one's mind. The practice is based on the universal values of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. This introductory demo class will provide a brief overview of the system, plus a demonstration of the exercises. All Falun Gong instruction is free of charge. Class fee is an AE administrative cost. As the founder of Seacoast School of Art, the discipline of teaching fine art compels Ms. Carter to continually pursue higher levels of skill and knowledge, and to find new ways to convey, inspire and encourage students of all ages and experience levels. Whether facilitating corporate art events, leading workshops or plein air painting holidays, Kathryns passion continues to be teaching.

Pharmacy Technician

This 8-week intensive program will prepare you to successfully take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be assisting the Pharmacist in every aspect of the daily running of the pharmacy: preparing medications, receiving and verifying prescriptions, helping customers, plus many other vital tasks. This is a high growth profession with great salaries and benefits.

Due to the accelerated nature of this course, it is recommended that students be able to grasp content and concepts quickly. Because of the ongoing pandemic, this course will be a hybrid of teacher created YouTube informational and instructional videos (2 per week) followed by a weekly Zoom virtual class with the instructor for assignment review and Q & A. Student’s with prior medical experience, CNA’s, CRMA’s, or even PCA’s are strongly encouraged to register. High School diploma required.

Knowledge and skill development in digital literacy and IT support: including hardware and software troubleshooting, operating systems, and communication and procedure.


Completion of the Academy results in two industry approved certifications: IC3 and CompTIA® A+ certification and prepares you for employment as a computer user support specialist/help desk technician. Participants will receive 3 YCCC credits.


FREE to TechHire qualified enrollees. Prerequisites:

- Resident of Maine

- Ages 17-29

- Unemployed or underemployed

- Proof of authorization to work in the U.S.

- Testing/Assessments required
