Job Training

Effective Meetings and Group Work - Strengthening Your Facilitation Skills, Level 1

with Kristen Grant

Calendar Next session starts Jan 15, 2019 at 3 pm, runs for 5 weeks

Are you involved with staff teams, town boards, non-profit committees, or community groups that need to produce results? Are these groups as successful at getting the job done as you’d like? This training can help you get great results.

In your professional or volunteer work, have you ever needed to:

  • help a new group get started?
  • guide a group to solve a problem?
  • help a group deal with a conflict?

Working in groups doesn't usually come naturally and facilitation skills are not routinely taught. If you have ever worked with a group, and wished you had more practice or skill, then consider joining Kristen Grant from the UMaine Cooperative Extension and Sea Grant for this 5 session, targeted-skills course.

Dates: Tuesdays, January 15, 29, February 12, 26, March 12, with back up snow dates on March 19 and 26

Time: 3:00 – 7:00 pm

Location: Adult Education Classroom at York Middle School
