Cribbage

You will learn the basics of Cribbage alone with offensive and defensive strategies. Then you can play Tim or your classmates in a game. With this instructional class and playing an online version of Cribbage you can learn a game to play with your friends now when you are apart then be ready to play live and in person!

Learn one of music’s deepest mysteries: how to play songs without relying on music. A very practical presentation of music theory that includes predicting chord progressions, learning from recordings, and transposing-all expressed in everyday language. This is an ideal follow-up to the “InstantPiano” class and is open to anyone who has a basic understanding of chords on any instrument. Expand your musical horizons, free yourself from sheet-music dependence, and be the life of the party! Prior experience with chords is recommended. The fee includes the online book, online follow-up lessons, a recording of the class, and an optional monthly question-and-answer session. Class is held online using zoom.

Star Wars is a multi -generational phenomenon…From those adults and children who watched the first movie in May of 1977, to the children growing up watching the animated series today, STAR WARS is embedded in our society. This course examines the saga in depth, as well as its influence on pop culture. Whether you are are a hard-core fan or have never seen any Star Wars movies, this class is for you. It’s a place to celebrate everything Star Wars! Have you ever wanted to know more about how all the stories connect, but haven’t had the time? Let’s take a deeper dive together to expand your knowledgeable on the subject! Watching each movie prior to the class is preferred, but not required. Every night also has a theme that will be explored in conjunction with the films.

Please note: This is not an actual registration for class. You must have confirmation from Buffy (207-344-3879) at Durgin Pines AND Shawn at York Adult Education in order to be officially registered for class. Continuum employees have preferred seating.
